To create, design and construct a prototype of habitat in Chile, where the emergency housing will become on a social definitive quality housing, integrating the person and the community on its personal, social, economical and territorial surround, and that includes the identity, the economy and the life quality. The idea is to create a new contemporary model of housing, replicable y exportable, able to solve the necessity of emergency.

Objectives
-Capitalize the experience of the Charity Fund Un Techo para Chile on emergency housing, and definitive housing, to create together a new kind of housing.
-Achieve that the Prototype of Habitat Made in Chile becomes a repeatable  and exportable product, as a model of contemporary housing able to solve the emergency necessities and be the base for a quality and definitive housing.

Made in Chile project pretend to create the conditions to open an investigation and reflection process about the human development.

1. The concept and the habitat reality, the economy, subsistence, the creation of wealthy, the economical motives of migration, the cultural shifting, the loss or gaining of the country’s intellectual capital, etc.
2. Question and increase the concepts about how do we live on the space, social, politic, economical, cultural surrounding, etc. The necessity of re-thinking the social space and to differentiate the urban surrounding from the rural one.
3.Explore with transverse and horizontal criteria, the habitat expectations, the economy, subsistence and the creation of wealthiness and migration.
4.To conceive and propose new ways of emergency habitat and definitive housing including the identity, the community, the economy and the quality of life. To think of the social space as the laboratory where new rational contracts are negotiated and agreed.
5.To create negotiated proposals with people and agents involved on the Project.
6.To draw up proposal to a specific community.
7. To formulate proposals related to the emergency, the habitat, the economy, the creation of wealthy, the economic reasons for immigration etc.
8. To put into practice and to experiment the proposals and relate them with    the   treated topics.
9. To develop attitudes and ways of involvement on the project.

10. To reflect about the contemporary world its aesthetics and economic translation.

Josep-Maria Martín 1961

Josep María Martín lives in Barcelona, Perpignan and Geneva. He works with other visual artists and also with ordinary people. His work consists of opening participative processes, research and analysis of social systems.
He creates new strategies of intervention in consolidated structures in today’s society, with the participation of other people, such as street children, patients in a hospital, who become the true actors of a shared project.
